Remember when all those high-school marching-band nerds joined ska-punk bands in the mid-'90s, thereby making them the cool kids on the block for about five minutes? Remember how annoying all those bands were? Well, some of them are still around. Florida's Less Than Jake just released its seventh album of horny pop-punk. GNV FLA sounds pretty much like the group's other records: lots of tight, two-and-a-half-minute brass-accented songs that often play the goof card (though there seems to be a sizable number of sincere songs about the band's hometown on GNV FLA). Live, this stuff always brings the party like it's 1997.
