Part of the museum's 140th anniversary celebration, Treasures of the Western Reserve showcases both fine art and everyday artifacts that tie in with the city's history. More than 150 items are on display ranging from a vintage oil painting of Public Square to a photograph of Bruce Springsteen performing at the Agora. "People today need to know there is a whole world beyond the internet," says Zimmerman. "Museums are founded on the originals. There is nothing like the real thing."
Mondays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sundays, 12-5 p.m. Starts: Sept. 29. Continues through May 31
