Making an Impression

The art museum opens a marvelous new Monet exhibit.

Despite its seemingly endless renovation project, the Cleveland Museum of Art continues to fill some space with terrific exhibitions. Monet in Normandy ranks among the museum’s top exhibits<\!s>.<\!s>.<\!s>. ever. It includes more than 50 paintings that Claude Monet did in the 1890s while living in Normandy. They’re among his best and most famous works -- masterpieces like “The Pointe de la Hève at Low Tide,” “Regatta at Sainte-Adresse,” and “Grainstack in the Sunlight.” Plus, the museum owns one of the classic “Water Lilies” paintings, which is also on display. The pastoral landscapes set the standard for Impressionism. Don’t miss this one.
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Starts: Feb. 20. Continues through May 20
