Making Christmas Scary

When: Sat., Nov. 30 2013

If you’re looking for some classic Christmas theater and if, like us, your familiarity with Charles Dickens begins and ends with The Muppet Christmas Carol, check out the stage version of A Christmas Carol, the most famous yuletide novel of them all. It’s the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his path to redemption and self-discovery one Christmas Eve. The magic of the book comes to life in live performance at the Great Lakes Theater Festival, which celebrates 25 years of making Christmas scary. Performances take place today at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Ohio Theatre. The show runs through Dec. 22, and tickets can be purchased online for as little as $28. (Allard)
