Downtown Cleveland is often compared to a ghost town after business hours. But at today's I Love Downtown celebration, the focus is on the 10,000 people who live downtown in high-rises and next to upscale restaurants and trendy nightclubs. "It's a chance to showcase everything that's been going on in the city for the past 15 years," says Josh Taylor, spokesman for Downtown Cleveland Alliance. "Living in the city is not just something that's a viable option. For a lot of people, it's the best option." To give outsiders a better look at urban living, Lolly the Trolley will shuttle revelers to townhouse and condo complexes throughout the city, stopping at restaurants like the Cleveland Chop House, Fat Fish Blue, and Bricco in between. "It's not like you're apartment-hunting in the 'burbs," says Taylor. "We call it downtown's open house." Hop on for a ride between 1 and 5 this afternoon at the Cleveland Chop House, 824 West St. Clair Avenue. Tickets are $20 in advance and $35 at the door. Call 216-736-7799 or visit
