Misfits Day of the Dead Show with the Attack/the Independents

When: Thu., Nov. 1, 6 p.m. 2012

There are perhaps few bands better suited to a Halloween celebration than the Misfits. The original band that first formed in 1977 with burly frontman Glenn Danzig offered the highest quotient of horror, but the current incarnation that finds original bassist Jerry Only handling lead vocal duties is pretty scary, too. On the band’s new album, The Devil’s Rain, he’s credited with providing “monster growls” on the tracks “Curse of the Mummy’s Hand” and “Ghost of Frankenstein.” And costumes? Yeah, these guys come dressed to impress no matter what time of year. (Jeff Niesel)
