Free movie at the Cinematheque! Free movie at the Cinematheque! Come one, come all! It’s a doc that barely clocks in at an hour, and it looks to be full of mystery and artsy intrigue. Check it: It’s all about Vivian Mayer, the Chicago street photographer who died in 2009 after being a nanny for some 40 years. Turns out she’d been a secret shutterbug, capturing thousands of Windy City images that weren’t uncovered until after her death. A lot of those photos will be available for viewing at an exhibition going on now at the Cleveland Print Room, and this BBC doc is sort of a complement and culmination to the show. Come check it out.
