Night Falls

When: Sat., May 14 2016

A six-film series derived from a very highly acclaimed, seven-film retrospective of the same name presented last July at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Mexico at Midnight: Film Noir From Mexican Cinema's Golden Age consists of "tough, stylish, sexy, cynical crime films" made by the Mexican film industry during the 1940s and 1950s. The films feature revered actors such as Dolores del Rio, María Félix, Pedro Armendáriz, and Arturo de Cordóva. Tonight at 5:30, the series continues with a screening of 1952's Night Falls, a film about an athlete who casually dates women until he runs into a femme fatale. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
