Our 15 Favorite Beer Week Events Happening This Weekend (October 18-21)

The Lakewood Beer Engine is putting on their third annual Rogue OysterFest today. These delicious puppies are flown in next day from Oregon and are served up with sixteen unique Rogue beers. This is one Beer Week event you definitely don't want to miss. You can stop by The Beer Engine anytime between 11 a.m. and close on Saturday.

Beer Week kicks off tonight with a number of events. The official opening ceremony takes place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Ohio City, Tremont, Lakewood, and Cleveland Heights where you can bar hop and try the seven small-batch collaboration beers that 16 different Northeast Ohio breweries have concocted. Bars and restaurants on East Fourth Street are also participating. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased on the Beer Week website. A slew of other non-ticketed events take place at bars all over town.

Love Beer? Love goat cheese? Then this five-course dinner featuring Mackenzie Creamery goat cheese and Belgian Beers from Brouwerji Liefmans, Brouwerji Duvel Moortgat NV, Brasserie D'Achouffe, and Brasserie St. Feuillien is definitely up your alley. The event will be held at Gamekeepers-Taverns in Chagrin Falls, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Prepare yourself for some totally yummy fare.

Whether you've been naughty or nice this year, we know you'll love the 2013 batch of Holly Jolly Christmas Ale from Fat Head's Brewery & Saloon. Make sure you carve out some time to spread the holiday cheer tonight. X-mas ale will be running on tap from 7:00 p.m. until Santa comes home.

Founders will be taking over the taps at Mike's Bar & Grill on Friday and honestly we can't think of a better way to dive headfirst into Beer Week. In addition to serving up delicious bubbly brews, Mike's will host a series of live performances by Adam & the Antacids throughout the night, and will also offer up some killer raffles and food deals. Plus, we've heard that KBS will be tapped around 8:30.

They just don't make beer memorabilia like they used to. And that's where the Brewery Collectibles Club of America comes in. These people seek out the old beer signs and hang on to out-of-date beer cans. Today from noon to 4 p.m. at the Great Lakes Brewing Company Tasting Room, the Lake Erie chapter of the club hosts a show where the general public can buy, sell or trade vintage beer-related items.

Bier Market and Duvel USA present this fun, social celebration of the homeland which features eight Belgian breweries and fantastic Belgian-inspired fare at five unique food stations. Advance tickets are required ($45) and include 10 five-ounce beer samplings, plus unlimited food. The event is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bier Market

Epic Brewing and Lily's Truffles bring you the perfect flight of chocolate and beer. The beer list includes names like Brainless Raspberries, Fermentation without Representation, Smoked & Oaked, and BBB. It's $18 for a flight of 4 truffles and 4 beer samples. Tonight's event runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Means you'll have plenty of time to hit up other BW events afterward!)

Come to Winks anytime tonight for the beer, stay for the conversation. With over 33 taps of craft beer, plus a whole selection of craft cocktails, they'll be plenty to talk about tonight (not to mention there will be plenty to drink).

Head to The Brew Kettle for a clambake with Cleveland Browns alumni. Get some autographs, hear a live band or two, play some corn hole, and drink and eat to your heart's content, all while watching your favorite Cleveland football team. Tickets are $17.
