Every year suicide claims more lives than war, murder, and natural disasters combined, and yet suicide prevention doesn't get anywhere near the funding given to other leading causes of death. It's up to us to make a difference. Start by taking part in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Wade Oval in University Circle. For more information, contact Emily or Laura at 978-844-1553, send a message to email@example.com, or visit www.afsp.org.
Price: Free; donations of $150 and up receive t-shirts and other thank-you items.
