Patrick Sweany/The Ohio Jukes/The Middle Rats

When: Fri., Nov. 23, 8 p.m. 2012

A Massillon native who cut his musical teeth playing the indie rock clubs in Northeast Ohio, singer-songwriter Patrick Sweany hasn’t played Cleveland the area in four years. Sweany, who moved from Cleveland to Nashville three years ago, is touring to promote the fifth anniversary of Every Hour is a Dollar Gone, the terrific roots-rock album that paired him with Black Keys singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach, who produced the disc, which veers from somber ballads (“Million to Me”) to gritty garage rockers (“Them Shoes”). The album has just been reissued on vinyl, and Sweany will undoubtedly have copies for sale at this show. (Jeff Niesel)
