Phat Phunktion

9 p.m. Saturday, February 11, $5 (all ages). Fat Fish Blue, 21 Prospect Ave., 216-875-6000.

Phat Phunktion, pardon the alliteration, really is phunky. Some compare the jammin' Wisconsin octet to Earth, Wind and Fire -- and that's not a bad thing. When's the last time a horn section made you want to -- no, need to -- dance? Expect mostly original songs, with a few covers of funk faves for the ages thrown in for good measure. Prepare to get down on that thing.
