When: Fri., Sept. 12 2014
Summer might be over, but the festival season sure isn’t. Tonight at 7, Weekend of the Pooka: A Celebration of the Arts kicks off at Bedford Commons. The event is named in honor of Bedford artist Richard Sedlon and his Pooka, a gnome-like creature that loves to paint, read, sing and dance. WIXY-1260’s Band provides a musical tour of the ’60s and ’70s tonight at 7. Tomorrow and Sunday, you can participate in crafts events at the Imagination Village. Live bands will also play in the gazebo. Admission is free; tomorrow’s hours are 1 to 7 p.m. and it’s 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. (Niesel) bedfordpooka.org.
