DJ & Dance

When: Thu., Nov. 2, 8 p.m. 2017

Two years ago, alternative rockers Primus brought set up shop at the Masonic Auditorium and delivered a set that alternated between old school tunes and material from their latest album, Primus and the Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble. The band returns to the are tonight on its tour in support of The Desaturating Seven, the band’s first studio album of original material with the classic Primus line-up of Les Claypool (vocals, bass), Larry LaLonde (guitar) and Tim Alexander (drums) since 1995's Tales From the Punchbowl. A concept album based on a children's book, the album commences with the haunting "The Valley" and includes songs that come off like fractured fairytales. With its thick bass riff and nasally vocals, the proggy "The Seven" sounds like vintage Primus. (Niesel)

Price: $39.50 - $249
