When: May 30-Sept. 3 2012
Professor Wylde is back on the job as seasonal star of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s live animal show. Staged daily through September 3 at the outdoor Savanna Theater, the show may be little light on dramatic development; but its heart is in the right place, as the professor gently schools his audience in the delicate balance that exists between people and animals in Africa. Plus, there are critters! The all-star animal cast includes a white stork, Burmese python, fennec fox, Egyptian vulture, and peregrine falcon. Future zookeepers, take note: Beginning June 1, you can sign up for a cameo role in one of the performances; you’ll also get to assist backstage and take a private, behind-the-scenes tour to meet your feathered and furry co-stars. Today’s show times are 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Attendance comes free with regular zoo admission of $12.25 for adults and $8.25 for kids ages 2 through 11. Toddlers, zoo members, and parking are free. Details are on the website.
