Purr-fect Game

Ohio hoopsters battle at the Q.

At today’s Battle of the Cats, the Ohio University Bobcats take on the University of Cincinnati Bearcats in college hoop action at the Q. The teams used to be longtime rivals; up till about 30 years ago, they met every year. Since then, they’ve played each other only three times. The Bearcats have come out on top in the last five games and hold a slim overall edge in wins, 39 to 37. Still, Cincinnati has only one returning starter this year, and OU -- the 2005 Mid-American Conference champ -- has held its own against big boys like Rhode Island (whom it beat) and Kentucky (whom it almost<\i> beat) over the past couple years.
