Rebels of the Neon God

Never seen in theatres until earlier this year, Rebels of the Neon God provides a study of urban alienation and hopelessness by Taiwanese filmmaker Tsai Ming-liang. Filmed on handheld cameras in the streets of Taipei, the film follows two petty hoods as they navigate city life. It screens at 7:15 tonight and at 8:40 on Sunday night at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. Tickets are $9. (Xan Schwartz)
