Remembering the Jake

When: Thu., April 10 2014

Vince McKee, a “growing force” in the sports literary world, has penned a book about the history of Jacob’s Field, and the volume is slim enough to fit in your jacket pocket. You can bring it along to these April Tribe games to read during rain delays, am I right? McKee will read and sign books this evening at the Westgate Books-A-Million from 6 to 8 p.m. Tomorrow, he’ll be at Visible Voice in Tremont from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, he’ll skip over to the Crocker Park Barnes & Noble from 2 to 4 p.m. McKee’s book focuses on what he calls the best years in Cleveland Indians’ history, 1994-1999. He interviewed players, managers and front office personnel to get the “inside scoop” on the Tribe’s success. (Sam Allard)
