Return to Perfection

Monday marks the 25th anniversary of Len Barker's perfect game against the Toronto Blue Jays. A mere 7,200 fans showed up at the old stadium to see the Big Donkey hurl his furious fastball and super slider en route to only the ninth perfect game in big-league history. One reason for the low turnout: It was 49 degrees. Another reason: The Tribe sucked. Barker never approached such greatness again, but the Indians will pay tribute to the right-hander with a Len Barker Perfect Game 25th Anniversary figurine giveaway at tonight's game against the Detroit Tigers.
