Reverend Horton Heat/Wayne the Train Hancock/Deke Dickerson

When: Sun., Aug. 25, 8 p.m. 2013

“We tour for the sake of touring,” Reverend Horton Heat frontman Jim Heath told us the last time the band came through town. “We tour regardless of any album release. That’s my art form is playing music as opposed to some technology thing where I’m in a studio doing stuff. Music is about the crowd and the moment. That’s what we do. We play a lot of shows.” Heat is back to play the Beachland this weekend. While the guy has signed a deal with Victory Records, he's still touring behind last year's DVD While the Reverend Horton Heat has just released 25 to Life, a DVD of a live show that celebrated 25 years of raising rockabilly hell.
