Seasonal Special Happenings

Roadhouse Chic

When: Fri., Jan. 3 2014

Working class bar by day, indie rock club by night, Pat's in the Flat's is one of Cleveland's best-kept secrets. The club's been going strong since the mid-'80s and in the early 2000s, any number of great underground garage and punk bands played the place. Owner Pat Hanych has run Pat's since her father's death in 1969. She gets a proper tribute tonight at Space: ROCK as the gallery pays tribute to her with Pat's in the Flats' Roadhouse Chic: Rock and Rolling Rock at the Bottom of the Hill, an exhibit of concert photos featuring acts such as the Black Keys and the White Stripes, both of which performed at the tiny club before they started headlining arenas. Tonight's reception runs from 6 to 9 and the show will continue through February. (Niesel)
