Rock 'n' Roll Romance

When: Fri., Aug. 9, 7 p.m. 2013

A decade ago, local writer Deanna Adams published Rock ’n’ Roll and the Cleveland Connection, a massive book that, as its title implied, aimed to provide the definitive account of Cleveland’s role in rock history. The book was a finalist for the Association for Recorded Sound Collections annual award given to the best researched book (Adams conducted countless interviews in putting the thing together). Now, Adams, an instructor at Lakeland Community College, has just published the fictional Peggy Sue Got Pregnant: A Rock ’n’ Roll Love Story, a romance set in the 1950s. She’ll read from the book at 7 tonight at Visible Voice Books. Admission is free. (Jeff Niesel)
