Roger Waters

When: Thu., Sept. 21 2017

Though the Rock Hall has only reluctantly inducted progressive rock acts over the years, the UK act Pink Floyd bucked the trend when it made into the hall in 1996. The early induction was certainly merited. During its heyday in the '70s and '80s, the band essentially defined the art of the concept album. Expect to hear some of the band's classic tracks tonight as Floyd co-frontman Roger Waters, who has just released the new solo album, Is This the Life We Really Want?, plays the Q. Is This the Life We Really Want features a high quotient of somber ballads. Songs such as the orchestral "Deja Vu" and the piano-driven "The Last Refugee" suggest Waters has become more contemplative in his old age. Expect tonight's visuals, per usual, to impress. A press release for the tour promises a “high class, state-of-the-art audio visual production” that will include “breathtaking quad sound.”
