Rubblebucket/Mel Devisa/Punch Drunk/Tagalogs

When: Thu., Dec. 1, 9 p.m. 2016

One of our favorite bands here at Scene, Rubblebucket always delivers a high-energy show -- and plenty of surprises along the way, elements that you won’t find from any other band. They’ve brought giant dancing robots to Beachland and colorful, flowing parachutes to Grog; know that a Rubblebucket show is a party unlike any other. Plus, the music is irresistibly fun. The band dropped a head-bobbing single recently (“If U C My Enemies”), but they’re still working off the successes of last year’s Survival Sounds. It’s electro-brass-pop, one could say, and the band rubs elbows with both the funk and jam scenes in this country. We should also point out that 2011’s Omega La La stands tall in the band’s growing catalog, and songs like “Down In The Yards,” “Silly Fathers” and “Came Out of a Lady” remain fixtures in the live show.
