Sara Gazarek

7 p.m. Monday, February 11, $20. Nighttown, 12387 Cedar Rd., 216-795-0550.

Sara Gazarek is the It Girl of the jazz world right now because her music's easy on the ears plus she's easy on the eyes. But more about the music: The vocalist made her debut with Yours, which contained many Great American Songbook standards, from "You Are My Sunshine" to "Cheek to Cheek." And in that mix, her smooth originals fit just fine, layered in lush piano, soft guitar, and an overall soft touch. If you're on the fence about going to the show, catch a live set on 90.3-FM WCPN's Around Noon at noon on Monday, February 11. If you own a CD by Diana Krall or Norah Jones, this show's one not to miss. Also, we highly recommend Nighttown's gaslight ambience for a heckuva nice Valentine's date.
