When: Sat., July 28, 1-6 p.m. 2012
Not so much a beer “sampling” as a balls-out drinking festival, Scene’s annual Ale Fest returns today to Tremont’s Lincoln Park. On hand you’ll find more than 100 craft and premium beers from breweries like Horny Goat, Thirsty Dog, Sierra Nevada, Red Hook, and more; your ticket snags you an eight-ounce cup and 35 tickets to spread around as you see fit. Also on tap: food, games, vendors, and live music from Cats on Holiday, the Revolution Brass Band, and the Jack Fords. DJ Mister Bradley P will spin between sets. Order tickets online for $30, or get them at the door for $35. And for serious suds heads, $55 will get you early admission, access to the VIP tent, and free food. The beer will flow from 1 to 6 p.m. Be sure to pack a designated driver, who gets in for $10. Proceeds from the event go to Tremont West Development Corporation. Check out our website for details.
