I went to the Aquarium for the first time this February and I enjoyed it. It certainly isn't the equal of aquariums I've been to in Myrtle Beach or Mystic, CT but I also didn't have to drive for more than 8 hours to get there. I agree that the price is a little steep when paired with the pay-to-park situation but it's nice to have the Aquarium here. I'll continue to support it.
As someone who will be attending this event, I find Mr. Allard's comparison of this situation to what's going on in Syria to be misplaced aggression. No one that I am aware of is suggesting this is more important than what's going on in Syria (or Turkey, for that matter.) However, this is an opportunity to educate the "humane" officer and his superiors that there is a strong animal rescue community in the area. A community that Mr. Accorti did not consult or even attempt to contact before sending the kittens to "kitty heaven" by excessive force.
