In This Is England, a gang of teen neo-Nazis inducts a 12-year-old boy into its fold. The lad soon shaves his head and masters the art of street fighting in his hometown, a blue-collar hamlet on England's western coast. The group's charismatic leader then adopts the boy as his protégé as they pave a path of hatred, racism, and violence. Director Shane Meadows should know: He based the movie's storyline on his own boyhood stint in juvenile hall. The flick screens at 7 tonight and 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cleveland Cinematheque, 11141 East Boulevard. Tickets are $8. Call 216-421-7450 or visit www.cia.edu.
Thu., Nov. 8, 7 p.m.; Fri., Nov. 9, 5:30 p.m., 2007
