Local artist Jim Morana jokingly refers to himself as the real King James
. Its a nickname hes used for more than 15 years -- long before LeBron notched his first triple-double. Taking playful swipes at the Cavs star with paintings and short stories, the Pop Shop unveils Moranas first comprehensive exhibit, King James, tonight. Most viewers will have a tough time finding any hoops-related imagery in Moranas abstract work, which includes nearly 100 oil and acrylic paintings. Even the 10-foot King James -- which was created especially for this exhibit -- pays homage to the artist, not LeBron.
Mondays-Fridays, 7 p.m. Starts: Feb. 12. Continues through March 17
