Rock & Pop

When: Sat., Nov. 10, 9 p.m. 2012

Though it’s not quite as significant as, say, the Rush tour when the band played Moving Pictures in its entirety, Canadian power-pop act Sloan has chosen to revisit a classic album on this tour. The band plans to perform 1994’s Twice Removed, an album that Canadian music magazines have crowned one of the best Canadian albums of all time. While the disc made a much bigger impact north of the border, the band’s power-pop sensibilities are perfectly refined in songs such as “People of the Sky,” which features terrific harmony vocals. The disc has been reissued as a box set that comes complete with T-shirt and all sorts of previously unreleased artwork, and we imagine you can pick up a copy tonight at the merch booth.
