West Side club pays tribute to the Theory of Relativity. Einstein would have been proud.

The Closing Room's barflies like to think of themselves as the intellectual set of Cleveland's club circuit. To mark the 103rd anniversary of Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity today, owner Scott Anderson flashes his Mensa card for his first-ever E=MC² Party. "I had one of my research assistants do some, um, research, because it's so dead around Memorial Day, y'know?" he deadpans. "This is the best we could come up with for the beginning of summer."To honor Einstein, every drink — including the specially made Albert Bomb — costs $2. But there's a glitch: The anniversary actually falls on November 21. Better early than never, reasons Anderson. "We are great admirers of the physicist Einstein," he says. "I like to use big words too." Put on your thinking caps between 2 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. today at the Closing Room, 13813 Lorain Avenue. Admission is free. Call 216-688-1670 or visit
