As if the ban weren't enough, here are a few more reasons to quit smoking.


At today’s Clearing the Smoke: The Truth About Tobacco program, stop-smoking expert Jim Joyner lays out the deadly facts about nicotine. It’s a tactic designed to scare the crap out of folks who still haven’t kicked cigs. “Most people don’t think of smokers as addicts,” says Julie Fogel of the Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services Board of Cuyahoga County, which hosts. “But given a choice, would you stand outside in subzero weather to have a cigarette?” Today’s outing is the second in a three-part series aimed at curbing smokers -- especially since there are very few places where they’re allowed to light up these days. “We don’t have a stance on how you kick the habit,” says Fogel. “Just as long as you’re kicking it.”
