Space Chimps

In this harmless animated feature, Ham III (Andy Samberg), the grandson of a famous simian astronaut, is recruited to assist Luna (Cheryl Hines) and Titan (Patrick Warburton) on a journey to recover a lost spaceship that’s fallen into the hands of an evil alien (Jeff Daniels). A smart aleck who’s never lived up to his father’s legacy, Ham puts his daredevil skills to the test as he and his pals fight off a number of malicious creatures in their attempt to recover the spacecraft and return safely back to Earth. While one too many “chimp” jokes (“chimps don’t leave chimps behind,” “chimp my ride”) threaten to spoil the fun, Samberg and crew bring a good deal of personality to their respective characters. That said, this monkey business, unlike the more sophisticated Kung Fu Panda, is strictly for the kids. **
