Can’t make it to Russia to see the Olympics? It’s too cold there anyway, and besides, we have them right in our backyard. Come see the Special Olympics State Winter Games and support a good cause by rooting for the athletes in your favorite winter sports. The games run today and tomorrow at Brandywine Ski Resort, the Ledges Area in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Kent State Ice Arena. Admission is free. Approximately 200 athletes will be competing, and events include cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, speed skating and figure skating (Trenholme).
