Spring Pancake Breakfast

When: Fri., March 29 2019

Holden Arboretum's annual spring pancake fling returns this weekend. The flipping begins tonight with a special members-only dinner. Tomorrow, there will be a pancake breakfast that is open to the public: The menu includes unlimited multi-grain, blueberry, regular, gluten-free and chocolate chip pancakes, as well as traditional breakfast sides. Exhibits include a working model of a sugar maple tree created with LED lights and shadowboxes exploring the history and future of scientific studies on sap. There will be a sap flow physiology and forest ecology discovery station, and short guided tours will be offered to discover the many syrup-producing tree species in the Arboretum plant collections. Consult the website for times and ticket prices. But don't dawdle: Advance reservations are required by March 27. (Niesel)
