Straight Outta Cleveland

How did a pasty white boy from Shaker Heights help launch gangsta rap back in the mid-'80s? Find out tonight when Jerry Heller -- who brought Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Eazy-E together in N.W.A -- tells his story at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Ruthless Records exec is also the suit who was savagely skewered by Dre in “Dre Day,” after the pair had a falling out over money. Heller comes home tonight to talk about his life in the music biz -- which includes behind-the-scenes gigs with Marvin Gaye, Elton John, and Pink Floyd.
