A newly formed ensemble-in-residence at Kent State University, the Verve Chamber Players features some of the area’s top players, including artist-in-residence and Kent State assistant professor of violin Jung-Min Amy Lee, Kent State artists-in-residence violinist Cathy Meng Robinson and cellist Keith Robinson, artist-in-residence and Kent State assistant professor of viola Yu Jin, and Kent State associate professor of piano Donna Lee. They’ll join clarinetist Ami Vardi for tonight’s 7:30 concert in Ludwig Recital Hall. It features performances of Mozart’s “Quartet for Piano and Strings in G minor, K 478,” Weber’s “Quintet for Clarinet and Strings in B-flat major, Op. 34” and Dvořák’s “Quintet for Piano and Strings in A major, Op. 87.” Tickets are $15.
