The band released In The Wake earlier this year, perfectly distilling their essence into a fine collection of 13 tunes. Like plenty of bands of their caliber, TLG thrives onstage, making tonight’s show and the whole of their live canon can’t-miss options for all. There are lots of great live options on archive.org and Spotify, so check those out (enough listening material for weeks). Early on, the band gathered choice live cuts for Rock and Roll Band, which remains one of the more jubilant entry points for the uninitiated. “If It Wasn’t for the Money” is just a wonderful song - Josh Clark’s lead work blends beautifully with Reed Mathis on the keys. That song, and many others from over the years, is perfect for those upcoming fall evenings around the ol’ bonfire. (Sandy)
