Teacher Knows Best

When: Thu., Aug. 1, 7:30 p.m. 2013

Funnyman D. Cameron has a different take on life, marriage and kids. He’s definitely not afraid to share what he thinks and jokes about women, saying “if you think about pushing them down stairs and you don’t, then they’re the right one for you.” His stand-up style is very conversational, and he talks about his experiences as a hall monitor at a middle school. He tells crowd members if they are parents of middle school kids, “ to go home and beat those children tonight… why because the black man said you was bad.” He enjoys having his audience participate in his routines, especially when they’re about teachers from the middle schools. Cameron goes even further when expressing how parents should discipline their kids. He advising them it’s ok to beat their kids; it’s not breaking the law as long as they don’t leave a mark. Cameron has an edginess in his stand-up. Even if he admits that his form of time out for the middle school kids is sticking them in his trunk. You would think this man is angry, but don’t let him fool you because he’s just being funny. (Aziza Doleh)
