The Best They Can Be: 1920’s Cleveland Indians

In 1920, Cleveland won the World Series in spectacular style after several dismal years in the baseball wilderness. Join Scott Longert, author of Addie Joss: King of the Pitchers and The Best They Could Be: The Cleveland Indians 1916-1920 for a look back at this victorious time. Scott has written articles for the National Pastime, the Baseball Research Journal, Timeline and the Plain Dealer. (Program includes admission to the Maltz Museum and to Chasing Dreams: Baseball & Becoming American. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to tour the galleries and the exhibition.) Reservations recommended as space is limited.
