When: Wed., Jan. 27, 7-8:30 p.m. 2016

Mark Souther discusses how Jews dealt with the shift of the “American dream” to the “suburban dream.” The Cleveland State University Associate Professor of History explores how, faced with a rapid departure from the city to the eastern suburbs, they worked to assure the resilience and recentralization of communal life. The Cleveland Jewish History & Public Policy Series is a co-production of the Cleveland Jewish News Foundation, The Laura & Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Center at Case Western Reserve University, Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage and Teaching Cleveland Digital.
