The Dan Band

With Superband. 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, $20 ADV/$22 DOS (all ages). House of Blues, 308 Euclid Ave., 216-523-2583.

Remember in Old School, the wedding scene, where newlywed Frank the Tank and his lovely bride are slow dancing, then pause to express dismay as the wedding singer drops a couple expertly timed F-bombs into the cheesy classic ballad "Total Eclipse of the Heart"? That wedding singer was Dan Finnerty of the Dan Band, which is just as funny live. Expect a similarly spiced-up set of classics from your favorite girl groups, from Salt-N-Pepa to Suzanne Vega, from "Mickey" to "Milkshake." Picture a very drunken karaoke session gone wonderfully wrong.
