The Dangerous Summer/Young London/Friends

When: Wed., Dec. 12, 7 p.m. 2012

Since they signed a record label before they even went to prom, the guys of the Dangerous Summer probably had no problem getting dates. And if they did, having an EP and two full-lengths under their belt since their senior year in 2007 should have eased the pain. The Maryland indie rock band mixes high-octane guitar and drum solos around unexpectedly raspy vocals in a Jimmy Eat World-meets-a-smoker kind of way. Their latest album, last year’s War Paint, features of the same stuff: pissed off emo attitude disguised as indie rock. Hey, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. (Nikki Hunt)

Price: $9.99
