The Deslondes/Twain/Bassel & the Rafters

When: Wed., Nov. 15, 8 p.m. 2017

The Deslondes are by no means the first band to delve into the concept of leaving and returning home, but with their recent sophomore record, Hurry Home, the idea feels fresh. Part of this has to do with the album's bayou gloss. There's nostalgia for dirt roads and old farms, like any good country western record, but also swampy humidity. Produced by Adrija Tokic, who also works with Alabama Shakes, the album rattles between old-school R&B, psychedelic rock and Americana on an album the group recorded live on analog tape, meaning tonight's intimate Cleveland show won't sound too terribly different from what you've already heard.
