The Divas of Gospel Tour

Featuring Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, and special guest Tye Tribbett. Saturday, April 28, at the Wolstein Center.

Gospel fans across the country have many reasons to celebrate this tour, which features some of the music's most relevant artists.

With youthful, contemporary rhythms and undeniable vocal chops, headliners Yolanda Adams and Mary Mary, and California sisters Erica and Trecina Campbell are amazing entry points for those who know absolutely nothing about gospel. These artists -- who have each won five Grammys as well as a handful of gold and platinum album awards -- substitute stereotypical piousness for an all-out celebration that truly conveys a sacred love of life. Adams in particular is often cited as a favorite of R&B and hip-hop stars, when they're looking for something more spiritual in their listening; she even collaborated with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony on the soon-to-be-released Strength and Loyalty. If you've ever had any curiosity about gospel, you should satisfy it with this show.
