The Love Witch

Anna Biller, the director of 2007’s Viva, explores gender issues with her latest movie, last year's The Love Witch, a film that centers on a femme fatale who heads to a remote California town to start her life over. Shot and printed on 35mm film stock, the movie references the 1960s and 1970s European and American color exploitation films. It makes its Cleveland debut tonight at 8:30 and screens again at 9:40 on Saturday night at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. Tickets are $11, $8 for CIA members and students. (Niesel)
