When: Sat., July 21, 7-9:30 p.m. 2012
Cleveland is about to be graced by one of the most creative, expressive, and visual presentations of dance that has ever been seen. The Nehemiah Project: Giving Back is a benefit concert taking place on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 7pm to 9:30pm at 3630 Fairmount Blvd. Shaker Hts, OH 44118. Nehemiah Spencer is a graduate of the Cleveland School of the Arts class of “2010” and will begin his sophomore year at the Juilliard School in New York in 2012. In 2010, Nehemiah held a benefit concert of similar caliber to help supplement financial costs and obligations during his freshman year of college. This year, Nehemiah realized how important it is to give back to his Alma Mata and decided to hold another benefit concert- with another goal in mind. With this new found vision he eHdeveloped the “Callie Taylor Foundation” in honor of his mother, who has spent countless hours volunteering and mentoring the students at the Cleveland School of the Arts”. The “Callie Taylor Foundation” will reward a graduating senior with an annual scholarship to supplement unmet needs during their freshman year of college. This scholarship will recognize a student of the arts whose hard work, academic performance and good conduct demonstrates a passion to further pursue his/her career.
