Dust off your sarafan; the Russians are in town. Today the balalaikas are over in Kent to celebrate Eastern European music. The Balalaika and Domra Association of America’s Festival of Russian Music went hard all week and is now going out with a showstopping concert. The organization has celebrated Eastern European heritage for decades now, acting as a non-profit and bringing the power of obscure acoustic instruments to laymans across the country. Tonight, in Cartwright Hall the 100-piece Russian orchestra is playing traditional music at 7 p.m. Tickets at $20 for pre-order or at the door. (Rees)
