The Skatalites/Outlaws/I & I

When: Sat., Oct. 27, 10 p.m. 2012

Chances are that the Skatalites have been around longer than you have. The Jamaican ska band started in 1964, but then broke up into two super-groups a year later. They reunited in 1983, and even though only one founding member remains alive today, the band is still performing, and — even more surprisingly — still recording. The Skatalites just announced they would be release the new album, Walk With Me. The release features 11 tracks of re-recorded classics such as “Song for My Father” and “King Solomon” along with brand new compositions. Expect to hear at least a few of those tracks tonight. Price: $15 ADV, $17 DOS
