Callahan will discuss “The Van Sweringens” and their role in financing, building and furnishing The Country Club in 1929 in Pepper Pike. This is an encore presentation of the 125th Anniversary of The Country Club’s lecture series.
SHS Member Jack Thalman has led a series of celebrations for The Country Club’s 125th Anniversary. From dances to lectures, it has been quite a program. The Shaker Historical Society’s archives provided some research assistance to him, Kevin Callahan and architect David Ellison.
